Of those listed I'd go with the Burris. However I'd compare them all and add the Bushnell 3200 elite to the list as well.

I have a few Leupold VX-Is and a few Leupold VXIIs and a few Nikon Buckmasters, and and older Burris. All are good scopes that will serve you well. Like someone already stated, go to your local shop, look thru all 3, and make your decision.

Well I was at Gander Mountain checkin them all out and I can't tell the difference. I did see the Nikon Buckmasters as well and it seems to be clear as well. It really all comes down to whether it can stay inline.

The Nikon Buckmasters will take a beating an still stay intact. I've had a 4.5-14x40 on my AR15, 243, 7mm, and now its on my Ruger 10-22. I have a brand new one in the box that I don't have a rifle for at the moment. I really like the Buckmaster scopes, they seem to transmit light in low light very well.

Leupold....Reputation speaks for itself.....
Warranty on all Leupold products is second to none...
Reguardless of price, they replace or fix everything reguardless of how it got damaged at their expense
Can't say that for Nikon or Burris.....

Take this for what its worth I'm changing all my hunting guns over to Nikon Buckmasters all 12 of them. I don't care what anyone else says I did my own testing and thats what I came up with. All my tests were done with scopes of $300.00 or less. I'm not rich

Leupold VX-II. You may pay a little more, but it won't let you down. I once bought a Nikon Buskmaster that had to be returned to the manufacture, and it was NIB!

RE: Nikon Burris or Leupold

I own a couple of Leupold VX111 4.5x14 that are attached to 300 and 338 Rums. I went this route because of the recoil factor.
However I went with a Burris 3x9 Fullfield 11 for the 7mm SA ultra and just don't see much of a difference visually looking through them. All gather light about the same and work just fine.
Had I had it to do over again, I would have paid a little less and went with the Burris all around.
My nickels worth.
