MOSSBERG 500 QUESTION ?

I need some info on a mossberg 500 I seen the other day at dick's outdoor shop was a model 500 mossberg plastic black thumhole stock with a ported barrel rifle slug barrel also came with a simmons 2.5x 20mm shotgun scope with rings and bases price was $349.00 anyone have any info on this shot gun???
Next question what would you recommend as far a sabot slugs 2 3/4 I did see a good write up on the hornady slugs but??

Well the Mossy 500 is a tool well suited to many jobs when properly set up. I like the 2.5X in a scope, but 20mm is too small IMO.
As you mention the gun - I can't see why it wouldn't serve well for deer. As far as loads go though - who knows? 20 gauges and 12s are have a little bit different appetites. Gotta experimant a bitto get the best results.

I have a 500 in 20ga its a great gun and will kill deer. the price seems really high i would suggest going to walmart and getting the combo(if you may use the buckshot barrel)and then buying a good scope that will with stand a shotgun.
