Well the Mossy 500 is a tool well suited to many jobs when properly set up. I like the 2.5X in a scope, but 20mm is too small IMO.

As you mention the gun - I can't see why it wouldn't serve well for deer. As far as loads go though - who knows? 20 gauges and 12s are have a little bit different appetites. Gotta experimant a bit to get the best results.
