I shot the new CZ last night and all I can say is holy crap. What a shooter!!! Using factory ammo my average group was 1.25 with the biggest being 1.5 and the smallest being around .75. I am one happy camper.

Try the Hornady 140 grain interlock with IMR 4350. I have reloaded tons of those bullets for the 6.5 using 4350 and IMR 4831. I get from 2500-2700 fps depending on the barrel length. That combo will take most NA game like a bolt from the blue.

James, what is your starting point for the powder. I can start at the mid point in the book and work up but, if at all possible I would like to cut through all the time and just find a load that works well in the CZ. I would like to stay around 2700 if at all possible. The factory loads I shot were supposidly2600 and they sure shot good. Have you ever tried Hornady SST bullets?

Every chance I get.
Try 42 Grains of IMR 4350. I took that load from the Speer Manual some years back and its been safe in my Military 6.5 Swedes. I have loaded for six or eight different 6.5's and the velocity has varied quite a bit with that load. However the accuracy has been good in all of them.

I've used the 140gr SST on deer. I don't remember the velocity I was getting but it sure knocked the wind out of deer. The best factory round in my rifle was 140gr Federal. I was able to cover a 3 shot group with a nickle at 100yards.
