RE: Glocks... yay or nay?
Nay, I'd only take a Block for a compact backup for point of contact.
I'll stick with my P95 for a composite frame, otherwise my 92 or a nice chopped 1911. |
RE: Glocks... yay or nay?
I like my Baby Glock M27. It's my primary carry gun.Another Yay.
Ruger Redhawk |
RE: Glocks... yay or nay?
A definate yeah!. I own a glock 23 that I use as my CCW gun. It is extremely durable and is as accurate as I would want for my carry gun. I also have a few 1911's (kimber, springfield) which are more accurate when shooting targets but the glock is in my mind a perfect fit for my needs when I carry.

RE: Glocks... yay or nay?
I shoot the Glock 17 9mm and I've never had a problem with it. I installed Hogue rubber grips which improved the grip a lot. I really wanted a Kimber, but couldn't get the 9mm in California, so I bought the Glock and love it.

RE: Glocks... yay or nay?
Just make sure it fits you. Glock's are very good guns. However, i found the grip angle was not comfortable for me. I ended up buying a Springfield XD for $100 less and it is all the gun that the glock is and more.
most importantly, again, make sure it fits your hand and you are comfortable with it. I have seen too many people who wanted a "brand" over what actually fit them. a .22 revolver is better for defense if you can shot it well. |

big two thumbs up!:)

RE: Glocks... yay or nay?
All the Glocks I've owned have been super reliable. There tough as nails and proven in sand, mud and snow. But they do require good safety skills. If you screw up and pull that trigger, there's no manual safety to protect you from you own stupidity.

RE: Glocks... yay or nay?
I looked at a new Glock 22 the other day and I think I will get it. The 23 is to small for my hand. It just doesn't fit.

RE: Glocks... yay or nay?
We have a few officers that have the same problem James B. We issue the 23 to most officers but a couple kept pinching their hands when speed loading. (Blade of hand was between the magazine and magazine well.) Gave them 22's and no more problems.

RE: Glocks... yay or nay?
for many years the glocks have won and dominated combat shoots.most police issue the mdl 22,40cal.if the grip appears too slick for you get some sand paper and rub it down
