RE: Remington 453 SPR
It's a baikal MP 153 Imported from russia and remington renamed it. May be a few minor changes, but it is basically the same gun from what I understand. I have never seen one in a store though.
From what I understand it is a very good gun for the money. I would get one of them vrs a Charles Daley from the things I have read. And it shoots 3 1/2 inch shells as well.
The only downside is the availability of parts if something were to happen. I have seen simular 11-87's for under $400 new on sale. I think that would be a better shotgun, but you wouldn't have the magnum shell option. Or a used 11-87 or 1100.
Shotgunworld has a whole forum dedicated to them if you want to check it out. If you get one let us know what you think of it.

Any idea where I could actually get one? Cabelas in Hoffman Estates does not have one, neither does my local Dick's or the one in Geneva, nor the Gander Mountain in Geneva. I don't want to order one from Dick's because of their "it could take 4-6 weeks" policy.

I have one. Bought it from a bass pro. Really good gun for the money. Takes a while to break it in but seems to be ok. It's really my wife's gun, its gas operated so recoil is down. 3" shells is the biggest she shoots at ducks. She handles it faily well and she's only 5'4" maybe 110lbs. (small frame) It doesnt get a high volume of shooting so it should last her a lifetime. She only dove hunts opening day then maybe 2-3 times duck hunts with me... I shot it some last year and would recommend it to anyone with a limited budget or just doesnt want to spend big.

I havent had to mess with it any. She shoots heavy dove and all the big shells are steel. If you check out shotgunworld.com there is a Bakail/ spartan forum that has a ton of info on these guns. Way more thanI could ever tell you.
