Swift makes a good 4-12x40 in the 100-125 range, and a good 3-9x40 in the 89-100 range. I used to own a few of them, and they took alot of abuse and never missed a beat. I would also never put a Bushnell on anything but a 22, even then they don't last for me. I'd check out the Nikon Pro Staff and Buckmaster series of scopes as well, might be one in your price range.

I to would recommend the Swift scopes. I have 2 of them, both of them bought used for $50 each. One of them never left the Scheels store, they made a package gun and the buyer wanted something more expensive. His loss my gain. Great scope.
