Default Stuck brush

I have somehow managed to jam a brush in my beloved Trailside .22. It is a new brush and rod. And the packageing does say 22.

Any recomendations on how to get the bugger out? I have it pushed through far enough that the tip of the brush is sticking out.

If you can't get them out with a pair of vise grips, you can try pushing it back the way you put it in. Put a rod against it and tap lightly with a mallet until it starts moving.

If all else fails, gunsmith.

Where is the tip of the brush sticking out? How far?

Can you unscrew the brush from the rod then remove the rod, leaving only the brush in the bore? If so, get a piece of flat-ended steel drill rod or the equivalent that is longer than the bore. Slide it into the bore until the flat end contacts the end of the brush's threaded section, then use a light hammer to gently tap the brush out further until you can grasp it with a pair of vise-grips, then pull it out. (It would be twice as hard to try to reverse the direction of the brush to drag or push it back out the way it went in!)
