Your change'n the subject Vapodog. Its not about who owns what guns. Its not about if some one will ever own a Pre 64 or a Masuer or a M-70. You are the one thats not being heard here.

I saw the 458 on a couple of sites yesterday but didn't find anything on the 375. I didn't read much but seemed like what I did read on the 458 it wasn't all that good. Have to wait and see if they do come out with a 375 again and then see how good it is.

Wow! jcchartboy those are some nice rifles, they oughta go fast with all the Savage folks here...and they're "safari" guns too boot!
Thanks for posting the pic/link.

I gave it a hard long thought but came to the conclusion that they are about $5000 overpriced for me.

A Savage going up in price...why..... I would've never thunk it[8D]

Vapodog you dumb ignorant jack@## savage
DOES NOT MAKE a dangerous game rifle. no one can vote for it when THEY DON"T MAKE IT!!!!!
Naughty naughty.....name calling is not nice.....didn't your mother tach you any manners?

But then I need to thank you for you have actually made my point for me....yes....I agree and that's what I've been saying.....Savage sure DON"T make a DG rifle...I agree.....and this .375 Alaskan guide gun to protect from Alaskan DG such as big bears (check back....that's what this thread is all about) is also not a DG gun........easy.....they also however it is my contention don't make a big game gun either.....if they did it would function well.....and in my history with them...they DON'T!!!!!

So you agree that this .375 H&H Alaskan guide gun is not a DG gun.....well...we're on the same wave length here.

I think you're catching on now.....

Vapodog, yea the guide gun that savage made a few years ago failed. IT did not have good results. That much you are right about.

Now my friend it is you that needs to go back and read hardcorehunter's orginal post. It clearly state's about a possible 375 that Savage might be coming out with. Thats the gun we are talking about. Not the one that savage made a few years back. Thats why I've been saying all along you can't talk about a gun that doesn't even exist yet. Get your facts straight man!

I know you've had bad experieces with savage and that you won't own another. I get that. But savage has since changed company presidents. And things have changed. I do not think its fair to compare guns that they made years ago to the ones that are being made today. They are different! So don't go tell'm me that todays rifles from savage are not big game guns because they damn well are.

You've lost this fight. Give it the hell up!
