Default encore.....

i want to buy an encore in the future....hopefully maybe next summer but who knows......but i LOVE to look and plan ahead...just gives me something to do when im bored...im looking to buy one in probably 25-06 for the first barrel....but i already want a nice laminated fancy wood thumbhole for it....so i was wondering if i can find JUST the.......lower reciver? and trigger?? maybe a custom?? possibly something with a good trigger and the whole 9? or is it possible just to find a factory one...no stock or barrel?? thanx guys.....just wondering and running some numbers...

Fox River outfitters has separate everything. You can get custom finishes or your name on them.

Yes, what bigcountry said is right on.

Also, check your local gun shops. As long as you have a permit (if required), they'll gladly sell you one that's used. They'll then just sell the acompanying barrel by itself, as they do with many others.

thanx guys ill check them out....i cant find an encore around here anywhere..seen VERY VERY few at a gun show....maybe 3 or 4...prices ranged from 450-600..i figured i could build the one i want that will probably shoot better for a little more....ill check it out....

You can buy just the Encore frame (nobarrel) for about $350w/ either a pistol grip and forearm or w/ a rifle stock and forearm and then buy whatever barrel(s) ($250-300) you'd like for it.

Or you could just order the gun you want in whatever caliber, ss or blue, and choice of stock.. be it walnut, pepper laminate, brown laminate, synthetic, camo synthetic.. all of which are available in thumbhole also.

I see you're in PA... you might check w/ your local Gander Mtn... they normally keep a pretty good stock of them and if they don't have what you want they can order it in foryou. I work at the Gander here inIndy.

You canbuy the frames, barrels and stock sets at www.gunbroker.com for around $220.00 to $250.00.
