I recently purchased an encore pistol frame and am looking into a 25-06 barrel. What are your thoughts from your experience with this gun. Was the muzzle blast much worse than any other round? How about the recoil? I have a lot of people telling me to buy a 7-08, but I really like the ability to buy 110g bullets commercially.

I actually loved the gun. I just never used it so i put the money to more use for me. The kick was nothing. I shot i think four or five deer with it. I lean more towards 25-06 but they both are a great caliber.

I was wondering what difference hand preference would be on the encore pistol, but you must have been thinking for trading purposes...
