The bullet below is a 180gr tsx recovered from an elk after taking out a section of the elks spine.The maximum diameter is .800" and the retained weight is 160gr.

Just two bull elk but many more moose fell to my 180 gr bonded bear claw 300 win mag with one shot per animal. Not super accurate as a factory load but I'm tired of reloading and minute of death at 300 yards is good enough for me. Accuracy is just over an inch @ 100 yards.

Ther Hornady interlock is still a very fine bullet for elk.....if one wishes for a bonded bullet he can use the Swift A-Frame or go look at www.northforkbullets.com
