Default Over Under question

Is there a good Over under 12ga out there that is under 800 bucks? I have been thinking about getting a stoeger condor supreme, so if anyone has shot one, could you tell me how you liked/disliked it.

I haven't shot the Condor, the one I saw at the gun shop looked ok. If your looking for a good field gun and you have some decent gunshops around a used O/U mightbe the ticket. You might be able to find a Browning Citori, SKB or Ruger red label for under $800.00, there are still some Charles Daly's out there that were made by the same Japanese company that made Browning Citoris they usually go for $400-600.00. Have the gunsmith look over any used gun before you buy, but sometimes it's better than buying new and taking the $150-200 loss when you want to get rid of it.

I have this Tristar 3 1/2'' 12 guage that shoots and swings like a charm. $575 NIB. Uses Beretta screw in chokes. My wife has a BSA 20 guage O/U with beretta chokes that is a very nice gun and it cost $525.

IMo only in the used racks.

The least cost quality O/U IMO is the SKB 505 and it runs about $1,000 or there abouts depending on your dealer's commission and state taxes.

The market is full of cheap O/U shotguns.....and that's what you get......a cheap shotgun.

You might find a CZ Redhead in that price range if not cheaper..another interesting gun is a Franchi o/u that Dick's sporting goods has on special in the 700-800 range and is made for them in Italy. Other then that you might be able to find a Ruger o/u at a gunshow for a little more then that.

I have to agree with the last two. I don't think there is a 'good' O/U for under $1000. The CZ looks like a fair gun, but it's not in the Beretta/Browning class. Just my $.02

If you have had to deal with Berettas customer service you wouldn't include them in the mix. I don't

After many thousands of rounds through mine, still haven't needed their customer service, but you could be right.

I recieved an Over and under for christmas a few year back. Its a Traditions import made by Fausti in Italy. It was purchased at Wal-Mart for about $650. It is a excellent field gun, and I've shot quite a bit of trap with it. I think that it is an excellent value, though I think they are more expensive now.

Seems that at times they are hit and miss and other times they are flawless but lately they have been bad real bad. I am working on an issue with them concerning a Sako rifle that has been going on for almost 3 months and no resolution in sight.
