I have a chance to buy a new in the box mini 14 the price is $400.00. I have never owned one is it worth the money I know they sell for about $550.00 in the stores.and what kind onof gun is it really Good bad ?thanks

It is a pretty good gun, as long as you are not looking for great acccuracy. If you want high cap. mags it is kind of hit and miss with ar mags. Some work, some don't. I bought 15 30 round mags at a gunshow once, and 5 actually worked in my mini. I can't remember the brand of those though. But, all in all a very fun gun to shoot. And that is a great deal btw.

Yes, that's a good price for the gun.
I have one that was rarely shot and looks new. It has the 'Made in the 200th year of American Liberty' rollmark on the receiver. They are fun to shoot and ammo is cheap.
Like longrifle says, some hi-cap mags might not feed well.
