There is a thread around here somewhere about HI Point pistols and most seem to be happy with them for the price. I have never heard that great of things about them until that thread though. Even my local gun dealer doesn't push them and they are pretty honest regardless of price. I mean they didn't try to talk me out of a H&R slug gun and there were rifles for twice the price they could have tried to show me.

I have a bursa thunder 380 also and it's a real nice little pistol for the money.

You can get a Smith & Wesson 40 cal (SW40VE) for about $300.

Llama, buddy of myne got one a while back an it works great. Not quite as accurate as my kimber .45($989) or springfield .45($500) but it get the job done and for about $250-275 hard to compair prices. And im not a big fan of the 9mm personally i like atleast a .40

PS: the SW40VE (i had the SW9VE 9mm) and it had a 13+lb trigger pull (its in the forums somewhere) was lucky to touch paper. i wouldnt suggest these to NEone till they get the trigger pull down. way down.
