On a post quite a while ago I mentioned how much I liked the old fashioned post and crosshair on my vintage M-6 Leupold fixed power 4X.
I went on to say that I found a company that specialized in making reticle alterations but that they ONLY worked on Leupolds.
I was all set to buy (from them) a 2-7 X 33 VX-I for $170.00 and add 32.50 to the total to have them alter the regular Duplex to a German #1 or German #4.
Unfortunately the Premier Reticles company experienced a death of the founder and patriach of the company and they've scaled back their operation to include a more narrow part of the market. Gone are most of the services they once offered.
Just thought I'd let you know in case anyone had saved the info and was thinking of contacting them.
You can view their services at their site at http://www.premierreticles.com/
Darn! The price for the scope and the alteration was almost too good to be true. Serves me right for waiting to long.
On a brighter note, I just bought a mint Weaver K-3 with a post and crosshair reticle on e-bay. I have really gotten used to this particular reticle after years of shooting my favorite rifle with a similar reticle.
