SHUCKS,,,,THAT BIG OLD GUN BRING DOWN A MULEY...NAHHHHH, I REALLY THINK THEY NEED A LARGER GUN ( OR ATLEAST SHOULD HAVEWAITED UNTIL IT WAS LIKE 1200-1300 YARDS AWAY)....IM JUST GLAD THEY SHOT IT IN THE VITALS.

I can see that it must really be some type of a challenge to shoot an animal 700 yards away and still be able to hit it.(especially in the vitals)

I wonder how much of a challenge it would be to actually stalk the game within range (so you dont have to use a gun that can disable a vehicle)

im just curious.but more power to em..

Well at that point, they were more shooting in the addition of having to clean the rifles, they got to butcher a deer.. I don't have an issue with it, just stating what I observed.

if its legal and your into it and have the funds then more power to them, personally id love to own a 50 but probably never will due to price, and if I had one id definatly be interested in trying to hunt with it at least once just to say ive done it. And you may think theres no skill involved and its cheating but id like to see those complaining try to shoot something that kicks that hard and hit something the size of a paper plate at 700yds. I doubt most can do it. Plus id like to also see these people try and drag a 32LB(dont know about the one in the pictures but that seems to be the average 50cal. weight)rifle up a hill to even attempt shooting something.

Of course if you miss, the debris you kick up might kill it too.

That looks like a hole from one of my Nosler BT out of my 270WSM.

You would really think thatpeople would be able decide when too big is too big, andto distiguish what an effective round would be to kill such an animal. In other words, if a .243, 250 savage, 30-30, and 308 can kill deer sized game within their effective range, then why use a weapon that has vehicle stopping power????? its just foolish (even if you do have the money)

WHAT WILL BE NEXT?

hmmmmmmmm...Im wondering where there is a good ranch out there that will let me use my bazooka or rocket launcher...and just incase I miss, the guides are up in the mountains with panzers to insure a clean kill..

In my opinion, this is very much an overkill(especially deer size game).....but then again its just my opinion.

I see no problem with hunting with a 50. I think as long as you keep meat damage to a minium its ok. I would like to try it. Sure shooting that far does take away from the hunt but what pleases some does not alwaysplease others meaning some like hunting some like shooting either way I'm fine with it. Im going to get a 50 someday they look fun.

True, true, big iron. some people like different things...I too might get one (probally just to mess with at the range)...I dunno if I would shoot critters with it though?
