If you reload you can load some 90gr.hp for the .270 and have some awsome varmit rounds !!! I like all three and I own all three. If I were a one gun man it would have to be the .270 wsm . If you ever want to hunt anything else you will be ready for it. On whitetail I havent seen anything that would make me choose one over the other. But I am a .270 lover !

243 and 25-06 would be the best choices but if i were u i would look at the 260 remington its prob the best varmit-deer caliber out there

Like someone mentioned, don't rule out the .243 WSSM and even the 25 WSSM.

I think for the price I may end up going with 10Gxp3 in 25-06, but I looked at a Winchester model 70 today and kind of liked the feel of them over Savage, but i didn't like the price!!

Both make wonderful guns, but stay away from the package deals. You'll need to buy a good scope seperately.

If you really liked the way the Winchester felt, then I'd probably recommend going with it. You'll shoot better with the gun you can shoulder more naturally.
