is this a pretty good gun for the money. i was gonna get the 12 gauge

I was looking at spartans the other day they have a side by side 30-06 for cheap I always wanted a double rifle but they are kinda cheap

I have a sporting over-under that i use for trap...There are features I would like to be different but I got what I paid for. If this one wears out out i will go get another one.

Just for information mine came from Biakal, Russia - they made the infamous AK-47 and several other guns. They are not ametures at producing a gun that will keep shooting for along time. They certainly do not have the quality of Browning and such but they work.

sorry to change from shotguns to rifles but has anyone had any experience with the spartan single shot rifles?

Speaking of Spartan (sorry to change the subject a bit) have you noticed that their web page is gone? Tried to go there the other day to see if they had a rifle/shotgun combo like Biakal did when EAA was importing these guns. When I put their web addy in it paused then went straight to the Remington page. I can find no link for the Spartan page on the Remington page. Wondering if they have stopped importing them????

yes i had the same trouble finding page. i had looked at one some months backbut could not find it now.

It looks like Remington has changed something but I was able to find the Spartan guns on their site. If you go to the firearms link and then go to the SPR selection on the drop down menu (shotgun or rifle), you will find them. I hope this helps.

Thanks! Yesterday I found out through my gun dealer that Remington dropped the Spartan name and just uses Remington Imports now. He had no clue until I asked and then he looked it up.
