Is a Sako worth the money?

I think James B hit the nail on the head. I could get two Remingtons or three Savage 110's for the price of one Sako. Or buy an Encore and stock up on different barrels for $232 EACH.

Thats still two Remingtons
. I just adjust the trigger and go shoot 1/2 to 3/4 groups from the box. I guess when they run out of the ADL synthetics then the price may be a little higher.

What ever equipment to set up the rifles like, scope, rings and base and anything else that would be required. Also if if you reload as I do, the dies, bullets, brass and any other component for reload unless you have it on hand and the time at the range for finding the perfect load. It all adds up...

Ok. I guess that be required regardless of rifle brand. There is nothing wrong with Sako. I have one of the older ones. It does not however do anything better than my 700 Remingtons and had it not been given to me, I would not have laid out that much money for one. That however is a matter of opinion. I would use that extra money for other hunting stuff. I just need a rifle that is dependable and accurate. No need for fancy or pretty. I reload too but I am kinda burned out on it. To much competition shooting in years past with way to many hours at the bench. The Federal Fusion loads shoot and perform so well that I have slacked off a bit on reloading.
