The 130 grain Ballistic Silvertips should work well for Mulies and Pronghorns. I like the bonded bullets for elk - Scirocco's, TBBC,and Accubonds - but don't really think they are really necessary for critters under 400 lbs. live weight.

Winchester super X 130 grain or 150 grain are hard to beat if you dont reload. I know that there is alot more ammo out there but in my .270 wsm that is what shot the best. Federal is making it in there fusion line now to. I have never shot it because I reload it now. I killed a 150lb whitetail at about 100 yards with 150 gr win super X soft piont. It did a great job Two holes and three steps. Exit wound the size of your fist. Thats what i'm talking about!!!!

At the velocities of the .270 WSM I would rather use the 140 grain accubond from Federal even on the smaller animals like the pronghorn. At such high velocities (3300 fps mv) the 130 grain ballistic tip could be a bit 'explosive' even on light thin skinned animals like the pronghorn and Fl deer. Where as the 140 accubond will keep its composure much better and still provide the shooter with excelent expansion and shock to the animal.
Due to the higher BC of the 140 accubond it should shoot within an inch of the 130 ballistic tip out to 500 yards and even beyond assuming you are at published velocities with both loads.
This factory load could easily be used on elk and moose as well with out ever missing a beat. IMHO it would be a perfect bullet to use on everything out of the .270 WSM.

BB, I will agree with you on the accubond. the accubond is very accurate(at least in my 270wsm browning micro hunter.) and I wanted something to stand up if I ran into a bear.
