Default Need the facts about the Benelli Nova

I've been looking at shotguns for a little while now and am growing very fond of the Nova. It justs fits into my shoulder so well and the bead falls right into place. Ok now my questions and confusions......

Benneli's website says 5 year parts and labor warranty on all firearms. Cabelas and Gander mountain have both told me, no, its only a 1 year warranty. Those that have sent in their registration forms, what is the truth?

I have read on this site thatthe two allen screws on the forearm can be tightened to virtually eliminate the rattle. Cabelas and Gander both told me nope, that wont help, what is it?

Cabelas told me it is a very good gun, but because it is made in Italy, any parts I ever need will cost me dearly. The guy at Gander said, parts for a Benelli are no more expensive than any other gun. Any input on this?

Its a gun for crip sakes, how can there be so many very different opinions on things that should be fact!!!!

Thanks for the help

I used to own one before it got stolen. My advice; you are buying a brand new gun, not a used foreign car. Don't worry about parts and labor or warranties. These guns are great.

The Warranty is 5 years.

The parts are no more expensive than any other gun. But I will tell you that Benelli is NOT KNOWN FOR SPEEDY PARTS ORDERS. Believe it or not it takes less time for you to send a gun to them, have it repaired, and get it back than it does to order a simple replacement, drop in part. Benelli absolutely sucks at getting parts out in a timely manner.

As far as the screw thing goes I don't know. We have almost zero novas in for repairs at the shop and I have never really had the time to just sit down and fiddle with one.

I love my Nova, and the forearms doesn't really rattle that much, but some people's do. On some guns tightening the screw helps alot and on others, not so much. Mine has never been a problem.

I love my nova! two years old and no problems! I did not even look to see what warranty it had. if mine last two more years and something breaks big deal Ill just buy another one. If I remember right it was only 300.00 man I spend that much in ten days on grocerys. all in all great gun for the money. and the people that dont like them are usely the same that dont like glocks because so much polymer aka plastic as for me if it works????
