Winchester ammo problem
i purchased some 7mm-08 ammo yesterday from a local sporting goods store. Upon inspection, i noticed all of the lead tips were bend as if someone sat on the package. Some are pretty far off, others not so much. (XSP2 bullets)
question is, how much can this affect accuracy or will this affect the gun. should or can i still use this stuff? the store has a strict policy on ammo returns which is NO.

RE: Winchester ammo problem
If there's a visible defect in a box of ammo, I wouldn't use it. A lot of stores have a "no returns" policy on ammo, but I'd be surprised if they wouldn't work with you on somthing obvious - if they want to keep a customer! If they didn't, I'd go to another store and buy another box of ammo and either dispose of the defective ammo - or if you think it's safe to shoot, shoot it and compare accuracy to the new box. Good luck and tell us what you find out.

Bent tips don't affect accuracy all that much, but a badly damaged tip will affect how they will act after hitting an animial. A bent tip isn't dangerous, and i'd use them for sighting in and practise...
