Default Whats the best recoil pad?

I'm looking into getting a good pad for the 110 I just got. As of now I don't have a flinch (or thats what they say), but everyone told me if I wanna use the range the 7mm is capable of I should get a good pad to put on the gun. What is a good, reasonably priced one?

I think 24.00 on a Simms Limb Saver would bemoney well spent.I now have several including some on Savages with sythetic and wood stocks. Simms makes pre-fit pads for both. Anything would be an improvement over the hard factory pads Savage and Ruger use.

I agree a good pad is money well spent. I have one pre-fit Sims which is very good. However most my rifles wear Grind to fit PachmayerDecel, done by my gunsmith. Either are excellent choices IMO and do the job at reducing felt recoil. If you can find a pre-fit to work than go for it, if not talk to gunsmith about putting on a grind to fit. In my area the cost is not much more than the pre-fits you buy from the store.

Do you find that Sims or Pachmayer is better at reducing recoil? A slip on wouldn't look the greatest but I could use it on more than one gun. I think I'm going to town today, I might pick up whichever one the local gun shop has.

If it help make your decision easier the Sims have alot more "tacky" texture. Sometimes a problem for shotgunners...but I doubt its a problem with rifles. If a grabby pad would git on your nerves go pachmayer. You may want that though?
