I think 24.00 on a Simms Limb Saver would bemoney well spent.I now have several including some on Savages with sythetic and wood stocks. Simms makes pre-fit pads for both. Anything would be an improvement over the hard factory pads Savage and Ruger use.
YES!! I love my Limb Saver pad......Ive heard the decelator is a good pad also just never owned one.
