I have a quick question (just for my own amusement). Why are JHP more powerful than FMJ?

(Sorry I didn't clarify this earlier...) As in bullets.. JHP= Jacketed Hallow Point, FMJ= Full Metal Jacket.

A jacketed hollow point will mushroom upon hitting tissue or bone and create a devestating wound channel as opposed to a full metal jacket which may or may not mushroom and if it does mushroom it wont be nearly as large a mushroom as a hollow point. Most FMJ are not recomended for hunting as they pass through and leave little damage. Hope this helps it was only basic info. Jimmy
