Browning Gold 10ga. opinions please.
If anyone has a Browning Gold 10ga. would you mind giving me your opinion of the gun?
I've been shooting my dad's A5 since I was old enough to shoot. Now I'm thinking of moving up to a 10ga. for the extra knock down power. My dad has a double barrel 10ga. and it can really reach out their and knock down a duck or goose at 50 yards. I'm also planning on making a trip to Saskatchewan next fall and it would come in handy their for all the gooses.
Opinions please
thanks in advance,
Jayson

I personally dont like 10ga. i have hunted geese with a 12ga since i was 12 and its got more then enough power most of the time anyway. In saskatchewan if its goin to be a guided hunt you wont need a 10ga at all i went up 2 years ago with some family and they got them in really close so i think the 10ga for the extra money isnt that good cuz its just extra yards which if your any good at calling you dont need.

It's not just the extra power, but 10 gauges pattern better than a 12 gauge with the same size load because in a load 12 ga load the same size as a 10 ga, the 12 has to cram all the pellets in a smaller space, which deforms the pellets and that sorta stuff.

I don't know about the 10 ga. but my gold in 12 ga. is probally the best shotgun I have ever had.It handles better than any of my A5's shoots faster, And you don't have to worry about the rings being timed right.I have not tried the Bennelli's yet so I can't compare .I have heard that they are also very good.JMHO

10ga browning gold is awesome on geese. I love it. I don't have one, but hunt with a guy that uses it. He makes some amazing shots with it. I still use my 3" gold.
But I ain't paying that much for them. They have to lower the price some. I like 10ga more than 3.5". Every serious goose hunter needs one or three.
