I am working up a load for a kid'sRemington Model 77mm-08 Rem. with a 20" Barrel. The loading data uses a 24" barrel. The rifle is pushing a 139 gr. bullet 2300 f/s with a 20" barrel, and the data showes it is suppose to reach 2400 f/s with a 24' barrel. Good luck.

Carts,
The table I posted is a general representationbased on velocity not caliber, I'm sure there are extremes at both ends of the spectrum. For example cut 2 inches off .308 and a 300 Weatherby Mag. Both have .308 dia. bullets but he 300 WM is going to lose many more Ft./sec. If you want exact #s you would have to look at case capacity/efficiency, bullet weight/ dia., and barrel length.Something to do on a rainy day.
