I can "easily" get $3.00 each for every watermellon i can raise, so you won't see me shooting any of them anytime soon!!!

Yep! we have , but the melons are in when the hunting season is out! We have tocall the FWLC office toput a
stop to it. We are not allowed to shoot out of season.

i didn't have that many, but i'm reasonably sure it was deer as there were hoof prints and tracks all around, not that big a deal for me, but i never thought of deer bustin melons, i mean i know they are curious, but watermelons, i never woulda thunk it

I shot a water jug today at 200 yards. I was shooting the 1/2 gallon Sunny D bottles. I hit right where I aimed at 200 yards (even in the windy conditions of 10 MPH). I hit the one at 300 yards too, but I hit just above thewater line, so it didn't explode like the one at 200 did. I am not sure which shot it was that hit it either, but have an idea, and would put my .223 load with a 45 grain Speer bullet about 6" low at 300 yards. Any coyote I encounter should be toast
