Carpmaster has that exact gun. I have a Ruger 77 Mk II all weather in 300 WSM and a Ruger 77 Mk II blued in .223. Both rifles will shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards all day long with a variety of my handloads. My .223 will shoot 1/2" groups with cheap winchester factory varmint loads. My Brothers Ruger 77 Mk II .223 will also shoot 1/2" groups. All of my friends Ruger rifles are very accurate and have very good quality. The only thing that it will most likely need is a trigger job. I put a Timney trigger on my .223 and it is awesome.

Rusty75 - I have worked on a number of these guns in .25-06. I would expect 1.5 MOA accuracy with good loads. A few are tack drivers, but the average is just good enough for big game hunting - no more. The averageRemington will print closer to 1 MOA.
Really like the Ruger action - especially the safety - aftermarket trigger is a good investment. Original all weather stock design with the narrow hard pad had got to go as well - at least for me. Roskoe

BareBackJack & I both have this exact rifle. BBJ bought his after I posted howmuch I like mine. My rifle is a tack driver with Federal Premium 115-grain Nosler Partition ammo. Ihave not worked up a handload for it yet.
I hope BBJ will seeyour post & reply? I think he loves his rifle also?
I do not think you can go wrong buying this rifle.

Carpmaster was shooting about 1 MOA with a 7 pound trigger on it. I lightened it up to 3 pounds but havent had a chance to shoot it yet with the lighter trigger. I would expect 1 MOA or better.

I have a M77MKIIvt in a .220 swift . A 35.00 trigger job and it will almost hole for hole a 3 round group at 100 yards. I would highly recommend the ruger and have fun with it!!!!
