This made me think about every thing. I am considering buying a AK-47. I already have a AR-15 but I think the AK is a great weapon. It doesn't have to be cleaned as much and will feed any ammo. The down side is that it isn't very accurate at long distance but 100-150 yards with open sights will produce a 3-6 inch group.

I purposefully live on "da gootside of da tracks" so I doubt seriously the mob is gonna march on us. But for conversations sake and if this question came to bare I suppose if I were standing atop my roof and watching the "inner-city" come marching down my streetI would hope for a helicopter to evacuate my wife and kids with and a "ma duece" with a few thousand rounds atop my house! That would be fun for a few minutes, I don't care what ANYONE says!!!

Now seriously, if the "end of the world or society" was coming I always thought I would want a 12ga, a 9mm, a 223 and a 308. That way military ammo could "supposedly" be gotten easily (yeah right try and get ammo during civil unrest!). If society IS going to fall or nuclear war IS coming, I suppose I wouldn't want to live anyway!!!

my buddies and I always laugh about what if it goes "down" but I have sorta already planned for such a thing, in the event that I could not get my family to safety........... I havehidden in the house under lock and key these items for such an event

M4 - (10) 30 round mags and 1000 rnds of ammo
870 - shortie barrel and about 15 boxes of shells
Taurus PT92 9mm - 10 hi cap mags and about 200 rnds

if the situation changed, my next resort would be one of my bolt actions incase some "single well placed shots" were needed
