What is a S&W 22 long rifle CTG worth?
Can anyone tell me what this gun is worth? It is a Smith and Wesson Double Action 22. It is a Model # CTG I do believe? It has oversized 357 grips on it and has a belt holster.
Any help on this would be appreciated and thanks ahead of time for any help given!!!

I do not think it is a kit gun. It is a normal looking revolver like the cops used to use before the Glocks or whatever they use now.I do not have access to post a picture.

Swing out the cylinder and you should see the model # on the inside of the frame. Being a 22lr and it "looks like something the cops used to use" it'll problably be on the K-frame and will be either a model17 or18. As for what its worth, depends on the finish(nickel or blue) and overall condition.

Buckmaster CTG is not the model number.. The CTG isthe abbreviation for Cartridge.Like mentioned swing the cylinder out. On the frame where the crane and frame meet will have the model number stamped in it.Value all depends on condition, finish and how it's equipted.Does it have the 3T's? (target trigger, target hammer and target grips)Nickel would bring a better price then the blued. Sounds to me you have a "K" frame probably a model 17 or 18.

How do you tell if it has the 3 t's? The hammer and trigger are a different color (not blued look) the the rest of the gun. The grips feel oversized like they belong to the 357 gun like this.

It sounds like you have either a17 or 18 and in the condition you say its in, its definately worth 300 bucks. The "3 T's are also known as a "full-target". Meaning, it has a wide trigger, wide hammer and largegrips. Around here,a model 17full-target is bringing $400+ in good shape.
