Default Info needed -Remington M700 front sight

Does anybody have a picture of a front sight off of a 1963 Remington M700 BDL rifle? Did the front sight also include the hood? I'm looking for one for my rifle.

The barrel hastwo stud holes andone hole tapped fora screw which sits in the middle of the two stud holes. Caliber is 7mm magnum.

Thanks.

Yes it included a hood. It shouldn't be hard to find one as i know i've taken off over a dozen over the years and i'm sure others have too.

Front sights on the BDL's did include a hood. Shouldn't be hard to replace. You might want to check with a few local gunsmiths as they may have some parts sitting around.
Also could check with Remington.
Two other sources come to mind. The first, Numrich, may have your parts in stock. Or, you could call Williams Gun Sight Co.
They make replacement front sights for many rifles. Be sure to specify forRem.700 (remington hole spacing).

Thanks for the replies. I know the Rem. M700 BDL I have in .22-250, the front sight has 2 small screw holes.

I came across a front sight off a Rem. rifle but don't know the rifle model it came off. It hasa stud in front and a screw behind the stud. That won't fit the 7mm barrel I have.

I'll check out those two links.

Thanks.

I ordered the front ramp, hood , screws andsight from Remington. The customer rep. asked the S/N of the gun to ensure the right part was ordered. It's a M700 BDL CD in 7mm mag. made 12/63.

Got the ramp and noticed it's not grooved to allow the hood to slid in. Did Remington send the wrong ramp or in '63, no hood was offered?

Thanks.
