Default I bought one(montana)

Finally went and bought a new gun today.I decided on the kimber montana in a 7mm-08.I had to order it ,it is suppose to be here within the month. The gun will only be used for whitetail hunting where a 200 yard shot will be rare.MOst of the time within 100 yards.I was looking for a good lightweight rifle. Some one please tell me I spent my money well. The salesman was trying to sell me a sako finnlight.I know they are good rifles ,but I had my heart set on the Kimber.Any feedback on this gun would be nice.I gave$899.00 does this sound like a fair price?

Thanks

UT "ya done good"!!!

Regardless of what we say, you will KNOW you did the right thing after the very first time you pull the trigger!!! The Montana is as fine a hunting gun as is on the market. There are only a couple other rifles I would put in its' class (202 Lightweight Sauer, FinnLight Sako, Browning Abolt Ti) and IMHO only the Abolt TI has as good a feel as the Montana, yet the Montie has it ALLOVER the TI in the smoothness category. Caliber wise you will LOVE the 708, what's not to like about the caliber?

By Christmas you will be INSEPERABLE with your Kimber!
RA

ps
$899 for a Montana? I hope you kissed your dealer? That's one HELL of a price, basically cost!

Thanks guys.I can not wait untill I get to shoot it.
The dealer is only asking 899.00 for the 84 or the 8400.The other dealers in the area(only one other) wants 1049.00
I thought it was a good deal.
I will let everyone know how it is as soon as it comes in.

If money means anything it should be a great shooting combo.

I finally got the gun.It took kimber about 2 months longer than they said. The gun feels great only weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces with scope and sling.the only ammo I have shot though the gun so far is remington accutips, and on a bad rest at about 80 yards it shot 1 1/4 inch 3 shot group.I feel the gun will shot better than this when I find a good rest to use(I was in a hurry to shot so I used the first thing I could find).
