Alright I was looking into 300 caliber rifles. Could somebody explain the differences between them all. I've seen the
1. 300
2. 300 Short action Mag.
3. 300 Ultra Mag
4. 300 H&H
5. 300 Weatherby
6. 300 Win
7. 300 WSM
Maybe I'm missing some too, i'm not sure. I know what some of them are, but i'm not sure how they compare to each other. Thanks for the help.

Basically in order of increasing energy they go:
300savage
308win
30-06
300h&h
300ultramagshort
300wsm
308norma mag
300winmag
300wbymag
300ultramag
30-378wby
There are a few in the middle that may be out a place or two depending on loadings. All use 308" bullets but vary in case dimensions and powder capacities.

These "300's" are all .30 caliber rifles, firing .308" diameter bullets. The difference between them is the size of the cartridge case, hence the amount of powder, with which each is loaded. The more powder, the faster a bullet of a given weight travels.
