The .30-30 and the .303 have taken more game in the US, Canada and
Africa than any other rifle caliber.
Where are the statistics to prove it?
BTW, you can't forget that the 7mm Mauser and 30-06 have been around forever as well.

rebel hog said you use a 22-250 for large game. what large game do you hunt with that?

i agree that the 30-30 has killed more deer than any other for now. i bet in my lifetime that will change.

The 7x57 was born in 1898and the .30-06 was born in 1906.
They are younger than the.30-30 or the .303.

Yes, by a few years, but have been widely used since their inception. Now I ask again, where are the statistics on the number of game killed with the 30-30?

So what you should have said is the 30-30 and 303 have probably taken more game....Being nobody has any numbers to prove one or the other.

i wonder if someone used the number of guns sold in each caliber to come up with these facts.the 30-30 has been aroundfor over a hundred years now and it has always been very reasonable to buy. years ago people did not spend more than it took to do the job.being no reason to buy anything bigger or more expensivethat a 30-30 for deer hunting. i just wonder if the 30-30 has the record for sales in the centerfire.

I don't have the numbers but I would be pretty sure that the 303 has killed more game in Canada than any other rifle. The 30-30 certainly would be in the running and As a deer rifle in this country, I am sure it has taken more whitetail deer than any other cartridge. Some calibers are comming up fast but the 270 and 30-06 will be hard to beat out as well.I like them all but the 30-30 lever is a classic and one of the easiest guns to carry that I ever used.
