BBJ,
You mentioned that bullet company in Canada. Wildcat Bullets has some awesome stuff. The 270 AM I will be getting, the bullet of choice for it is the 169.5 ULD RBBT with a BC of .75! I have wrote to Richard of Wildcat Bullets on many occasion and he is a super guy to work with. He has my business for sure.

Thats like the 200 gr bullet for the 7mm,that has got to be some kind of a monster on penetration. That 165 gr for the 270 will be a awsome bullet.
You are getting this gun for a sheep hunt correct, what elese do you plan using it for.

The 200 was like .850 or something.
I got this as a long range Deer gun. This will also double as my elk gun. Wildcat bullets has a stouter jacketed bonded core bullet which is much better for elk. Also I will use it for long range chucks.
I just hope it will be done in time for my goat hunt.

I'm trying to visualize a bullet of this weight and ballistic coefficient. It's got to be really long. Is the bullet maker advocating the use of faster twist barrels to stabilize lengthy pills? I'm thinking a long 200 grain 7MM bullet is going to need at least an 8" twist to keep from tumbling. Roskoe

Roskoe, If I remember correctly it is a 7" twist.
BBJ you are correct. Most of the barrel Kirby uses are lilja, unless customer requests otherwise. Both custom guns he is building for me will be 3 grovve lilja's.
