Default Ruger standard!!??!!??

Is this a good gun??? Does anybody have this gun in a 300wsm? how is the recoil of this gun since it only weighs about 8lbs(kinda want to know the recoil between the 300wsm and the 300wm if it is possible)!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont have the gun but I have seriously thought about buying one.

The recoil will be about the same as a .300 win mag unless you get it in a fullsize rifle.
Ruger makes a damn good gun with the best part of it being based on a mauser action.

I have the Ruger 77 Mk II in Standard All Weather in 300 WSM. With my rifle and scope it only weights 8.5 pounds. I love it. It does kick quite a bit, but it is not a target rifle it is a hunting rifle so, I don't mind. I have not shot much factory ammo through it, however it will shoot a 1/2" group at 100 yards with my 150gr core-loks. It will shoot a .6" group with 180gr and 165gr Barnes XLCs.
