I don't have a lot of use for coyotes and wolves, and i use what ever is in my hands when i see one. Last coyote i shot was at very close to 300 yards with my 8x57jrs useing a 200 grain NP.

Many years ago i did build a rifle for just this kind of shooting though. I was visiting with Parker Ackley, and he made and installed a 26" bbl on a LH Rem. 700 chambered for 240 Wby..

It's quite accurate and doesa coyote or wolf in at any range you can hit them!

I would go with my 204 ruger pushin a 32 gr vmax at 4225 fps. Altough on occasion i go with my single shot 223.

I would go with a .223 rather than a 22-250, the .223 is cheaper to shoot and you have a wider range of bullet choices.

223, either in a Sako varmint rifle or an AR.
