Hey guys. I was thinking about getting a new big game rifle some time in the near future and I was wondering which rifle you think is a more solid, accurate, durable, and long lasting rifle between the two. For the Tikka I was thinking about the laminate stainless model, and for the Remington the Mountain LSS or the new XCR. I've talked to different guys about it and they all have their personal preferences. So what do you guys think?

My personal opinion between the two is that I like the Tikka better. Better trigger thats easy for anyone to adjust down to as little as 2 lbs, very accurate, smooth action, free floated barrel. Thats my 2 cents.

I would get the remington mountain lss, its a beautifully well made gun. Tikka does have the accuracy guaruntee but out of the 4 remingtons i own 3 are consistent sub MOA shooters. The one that isn't prints about 1.5 inch groups. I think once you go look at both guns you will decide on the remington.

My main grype about Tikka is the lack of short actions for short cartridges.
Rather than make a shorter action for .308 length cartridges they cheap out and use plastic spacers in the magazine of a standard length receiver.[:'(]
Outside of that the Tikka would definetly be my choice.
