Got to hold the NA .380 today, It was very compact &stainless steel is a nicesolid feeling, but too heavy for pocket carry.
The Kel-Tec was out of stock, dealer says they go quick.
Iwill haveto takea look at the Makarov, but if the kel-tek is in stock next time.. it's coming home.

Wanted to say thanks for the suggestions!

Settled on the Kel-tek in .380.
Finally got to shoot it today ,very pleased with the groups & seemsquite stout for being so small.
This forum is a great source, sincere thanks to all.

Congrats on the new gun NY!
Hope you enjoy it alot, and never have to use it.

Spikehorn, good luck with a permit in NY.
I've heard stories about LONG delays just to find out you are denied.
Good luck.

My uncle has a Kel-Tec in .380, only seven shots but it .380 with hollow points hopefully you wouldnt need more. The only draw back are its a little small so it jumps in the hands, and it shoots most smoothly with hollows. Just a thought
