Hi, I've been searching the web a few days now and can't find much info on the new Browning Mountain Ti. Does anyone here own one or has anyone here shot one. If so, could you let me know how it performs in your opinion. The only real info I have read is on Browning web page.

I have yet to see them hit the shelfs yet.
See this is what I don't like. Gun companies advertise these things a year in advance. Well, customers are very interested. Look and look and get tired of it, and end up buying something else.
For instance, Winchester advertised thier Stealth far in advance. I personally know 3 people that were interested in them. They called everywhere and couldn't find one for months, so they started looking elsewhere and saw the FN, and 2 of them got one of those instead, and the other got a PSS. They are glad they went with the FN. Now I see Stealths sitting on the shelfs.

I recently handled one at Gander Mountain when on a business trip in Houston, TX. The gun handled well and balanced well. The chambering in the only one they had was 300 WSM. I do think do to the light weight the gun may not be very manageable under recoil. I do think that with a compact scope on the rifle you would have one awesome mountain hunting rig. A 5.5# rifle in 300 WSM with 180 gr. factory loads will have stout recoil and probably isn't for everyone. If you don't have a problem with muzzle brakes this could be an add on if you don't like the recoil. As with most Browning's the fit and finish was very good and I did handle a Kimber Montana that I would prefer the Browning over also in 300 WSM. I also like very much the feel of the Dura-Touch stock.
For Browning in general I've owned 3. A 270, 25-06, & 300 Win. Mag. of the 3 all were good shooters with my handloads and the 270 was a tack driver with Remington 130 gr. Core-Lokts out of the box.

Dang I could have sold you that one as well.
No I didn't like it not one thing about it exccept accuracy where it was much better then a Model 70 but not as good as the Weatherby. I had a weak moment at a gunshow that's why I bought it. WSM = Kimber 8400m or if you want to pay half Weatherby VAnguard SS and you can buy a SUBMOA.

Yeah it was a good shooter with handloads. so and so with factory ammo but better then the winchester I owned at the time. You know the little trigger adjustment screw they have on Abolts..that is designed to tease you.

I want the Mountain Ti in 270 wsm. Last year I had a Rem 700 270 and Weatherby Vanguard 270 and had a Browning micro 260 the year before. I liked the feel off the Browning better than the other 2. I just wanted to do my research before paying too much for this rifle.
