Default A new pole and reel

Recently my old pole snapped in two pieces and now I have the decision to find another rod and reel primarily for Bass Fishing. I havent fished since I was 12 (16 now). I was wondering what is a good Rod and Reel Combo that doesnt cost much more than $50? Or is it almost required to buy a somewhat expensive combo? What is the best quality for price I can get?

Thank You
