RE: Carolina Or Texas Rig Worms
The flordia rig is basically a bullet sinker with a corkscrew built into the bottom and you screw it into the worm, so you dont have to peg it. i dont think it imparts any spin on the worm at all. |
RE: Carolina Or Texas Rig Worms
No you're wrong. I just looked it up to make sure i knew what i was talking about. Florida Rigging is using a sinker with a corkscrew on it.
When fishing in heavy grass such as you find throughout the southern U.S., one of the big problems encountered when using a plastic worm is keeping the worm in place on the hook. To solve this problem you may use what is called a Florida Rig sinker. It is quite simply a worm bullet- type sinker that has a small spring attached to the back. When rigging the worm on the hook you just screw the spring into the plastic worm's head after putting it on the hook in the normal manner. This will end the constant chore of resetting the worm to the correct position. from bassnedge.com I knew i was right, i heard Larry Nixon talking about it a week ago. told ya so slayer |

forget larry nixon he is just some washed up old pro that endorses stuff please, have some knowledge of what you're talking about before you type. honestly, if you dont know what you're talking about, refrain from posting. also, just straight up don't diss my boy Larry Nixon. he's just one of those guys that you don't diss. i wasnt angry, i was just stating the truth, but when you drag larry nixon through the mud, im sorry, its gonna get me mad. What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. stupid newbies.. slayer |

Well, then Florida sportsman is wrong. i'd like to see the article, post it on here. I just looked up "Florida Rigging for bass" on google. the first 10 sites that talked about Florida Rigging i clicked on. Guess what i found? 10 of 10 sites agree that florida rigging is using a sinker with a corkscrew to peg the weight to the worm so it doesnt get snagged up in thick cover. im 100% sure im right. lets see the article if you still think youre right.

the 4 1/2 years i've been around here have shown me that i dont have to keep all my comments to myself. i dont even want to get into it about my boy larry nixon. LOL, i was laughing really hard about the Takahiro comment. mike auten, mike iaconelli, and davy hite were cracking jokes about him left and right in Chicago. your comments made me remember it. "I caught a 5 pounda!!!":D:D:D slayer |
