walleye is great, carp and buffalo can also be good if fixed and prepared right. But the best for sure is the Paddlefish aka spoonbill found in the major rivers of the us. If you want good tasting firm white meat this is the fish for you.

Around this part of Colorado, it's the Kokanee Salmon, a landlocked version of the Sockeye. Mainehunter, I know what you mean about White Perch, they are danged tasty. I grew up in New England and remember fishing Lake Webb near Weld, ME. Once you get into them you just keep catching them. I think back then (1974) the creel limit on 'em was 100 per day. We caught well over a hundred from the canoe one night! Come to think of it, that week was the first time I was, ummm..."intimate" with a young lady...come to think of it, that might have been one of the best danged weeks of my life!

My vote goes to crappie, then walleye from northern canada, then bluegill, then walleye from down in the lower 48.

Walleye, pirch ,northerns are all great yep!have eatin a lot. cats etc some others too are good .. have a bunch of rainbows in the frezzer lots of them around here(2many)lol but not my fav for sure to eat <'><
i have to try some ling & buberts?(sp) sometime paddle fish mmm? i seen those somewhere .. theyin tnhe bigger rivers around here i think.
use to love fishing for northerns& bass & tiger muskies in the tree stumps& weeds back in nystate& ontario etc use a perch, 6 inch bullheads,tads etc for bait sometimes lol i dont miss those black flys much.
