spider wire?

im thinkig if i buy a spinning outfit.. i could use spiderwire to give me a little bit more strength on that fishing line (not the braded kind but the original spider wire) what are the pro's and con's of spider wire?

its ok but it really cuts your guides i know some people who use berkely whiplash and love it i think 80lb is like equilavent of 17 and 50 is like 12 its amazing how they do it i like the fusion also still if your not usin real heavy stuff it shoudl work

the braided stuff doesnt cut up your guides. back when it first came out it was made of something else and it did tear up the guides. but the industry has moved past that a long time ago. i have used the braided stuff the last 10 years and have used the same rod and its still in fine shape. i dont think i can afford to buy it anymore though, so expensive now.
my brother uses the fusion and he likes it quite a bit and i think that is what i am goint to switch to because its cheaper.

Fusion line is good till you get a twist in it and if that twist turns into a knot your done,you can't get it out.I've tried most lines and always came back to Trilene-XT
