Well the nightcrawlers were out good again tonnight. I got about 500 in 45 minutes. I also saw something pretty cool tonight while pickin. There was a toad in my grams driveway. And I saw him hop over and grap a nightcrawler and eat it, he ate it pretty fast for how big of a worm it was. That was cool to see.

That sounds like a nice little evening. With all the rain we have been having over the last day or so I imagine there are alot of worms out of the ground right now.

I do get to see some of the frog's in my pond eat insects and such. It is relaxing to watch....but probably not for the insect...

I love catchin nightcrawlers. Never saw much of a reason to buy em when u can catch em. I consider it a sport. Going out and catchin worms is fun. I usually catch about 4 dozen than stop dont want 2 get anymore than what i think i will use.

500 in 45 mins????

thats like 11 worms per minute or 1 every 5 seconds......

if u actually did get that many in that time by yourself then it musta looked like more worms then grass.....

in 45 minutes in my backyard i get between 75-120 and those last me a few weeks then i go and get around the same amount.....

seems like the worms in my backyard will never disapear

Before go on our annual walleye trip when I was younger, dad and I had a spot thet was crazy with nightcrawlers, it was a HS ball field and we'd get 500 or so in a hour or two!
