Talk about Casino's! They pull in so much money every day that the state doesn't stand a chance ever fighting them in court. Before long we will be on a reservation. I know that sounds like i'm exagerating but it's possible. I just am a little bitter that they have special seasons and special limits...wait, almost NO limits and the average person doesn't and is penalized. I didn't come take their country over...My ancestors came from Finland a hell of a long time after the first settlers came and took the land. nobody alive was here when it happened, get over it I say. Everyone should pay equal taxes etc. period.

I say that they should be aloud to spear walleyes. With a stone spear, birch bark canoe, a torch, and hand made nets. let them take what they want. They are following the rules of the 1837 treaty let them use the same equipment as 1837.

I agree to that Jk! If its tradition they want thats fine and I can fully understand it and agree to it! I dont condone them for there heritage, who was here first or who wasnt and I dont feel we should try and 'limit' folks in these kinds of areas regardless of race color sex etc etc but dog gone it when it affects a hole ecosystem or whether or not you will be able to keep on doing it be it hunting or fishing, then yes I feel there NEEDS to be some restrictions! Unfortunatly Mn didnt think so and now look at whats happening!!! Milacs, now walleyes, man thats about as bad as saying Lake of the Woods...no eyes!

I think Minnesota did speak up about the Bands spearing rights but the band had more money to fight it in court so we as sportsmen and women lost out.

My favorite is Red Lake Ontario, been going there since I was in Grade School. And don't have much problem catching daily limits, and much more.
