Fishin' the Big Sioux tomorrow!
#1
Spring has sprung and we're going out after walleye this weekend, we'll be fishing the Big Sioux river south of the spillway in Sioux Falls.
There is a dog park that we'll park at and wheel the stroller, our Border Collie and some chairs about a mile down the trail and find a nice mud flat to throw jigs at from shore.
The temp should be just over 70°, but the water is still cold enough where the fish should be in the shallows.
This will be my daughters first fishing "expedition," 7 weeks old and not a moment too soon, lol.
Hope to share some pictures and what-not, also hope to be blessed with some tasty dinner.
I was experiencing some serious cabin fever... this is going to go a long way to cure that.

Thanks, I hope so too... we'll see though. The area I'll be in is a little hit and miss, plus we just went from 4.5" of snow and below freezing on Monday, up to 76° forecasted for this Sunday.
Not sure how that will affect the fishing.

Our baby was having one of those days where she just cried for no reason for hours (pretty rare)... so the wife said "You just go..." which means, "If you go and leave me alone with this kid... don't come back."
Lol. Sunday we got so wrapped up with family stuff that I couldn't even get away for a couple of hours, but spent time with my grandparents... which is something you've just got to do.
I'll just update this thread when I actually get to go, which should be this week or weekend.
