and 10 minutes later he lost a 5 plus..not a bad after work fishing trip,,in all we boated 6 in less than 3 hours..We were flipping the cat tails with blach worm..braid..fattest fish I"d ever seen..

That 6 3/4 had one fat gut.

The fish wasn't that long..I didn;'t have time to measure it { out of water too long for pics..so I quickly let her go} but it was only around 21 inches..it was very fat..I was surprized it wasn't 7 pounds..I had to encourage him that the line was 40 pound test as the fish was going right back into the cat tails..so he horsed it to the boat after a good 7 runs..This is Matt's biggest bass on artificial..15 minutes or so later he hooked another but like so often..the hook gets stuck in the cat tail and the fish swims free...it was a heavy 5 I'm sure..

I plan to go out again tonight ..most likely by myself. It's very difficult flipping with 2 people in 15 MPH wind..

Well..I got ya covered ..Matt would certainly let you and your wife use his boat..and I could point ya in the right direction..a 10 day license is dirt cheap...

My wife is an awesome cook and we got a spare room
